How to Become a Christian

If you are wondering what life is all about - and if you would like a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ (as your God and personal friend), please read the following:

 

 

Step 1

You can be sure that God loves you unconditionally and wishes to have a personal relationship with you.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

 

 

Step 2

Stop trying to please God through your own efforts, and know that Salvation through Jesus Christ is a free gift that none of us deserves.

"God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

 

 

Step 3

You simply need to step in and accept God’s free gift -- His Son, Jesus Christ. There are no strings attached, and He will never take back that gift once you accept it.

 "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, [1] even to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12).

 

 

Step 4

Should you wish to have God’s free gift of eternal life (Salvation) and fellowship with Him - you are a simple prayer away.

Jesus says - "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6).

Jesus also says - "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in" (Revelation 3:20).

 

 

Step 5

Receiving Jesus Christ is a matter of asking Him to come into your life, to forgive your sins, and to become your Lord and Savior. It’s not merely an intellectual undertaking, but rather, an act of faith and heart-felt will.

If you would like to receive Jesus Christ now, and accept His free gift of salvation, here is a basic prayer for you.

 

Your Prayer!

God, I ask You to forgive me of my sins. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and in your death on the cross for my sins. I ask You to enter my life right now, and to give me strength as I commit my life to You this day. Thank You for loving me before I even knew You. I pray this in Jesus’ name.

Amen

 

On the authority of the Word of God - and If you have prayed the above prayer with a heart of faith, your Salvation is assured and you are now a part of God's family. You will spend all eternity by the side of our Lord Jesus Christ in heaven.
